Umm, when someone gives you a date to be home and wait around all fucking day, aren't they suppose to deliver? First, when we moved we decided we'd start fresh and new, whick basically means we left all our used furniture. We knew we'd have the money to buy brand new furniture and we had plans, this would be the first time we'd ever have really nice items. When we got out here we wrecked, but that's another rant and it wasn't our fault. This hurt our plans as now we'd be using a rental but we still went shopping. We found a HUGE furniture store that had three floors so we decided we'd buy all our furniture except the tv and bookshelves there.
The couch and beds were first as we don't want to sleep on the floor, even though it was carpet. Who likes waking up to an aching back or kids complaining it isn't a bed but just an air mattress. Heck, we even bought the damn air mattress in the meantime. At the end of our shopping they told us they'd see us Monday, this was Friday. We were really excited to hear we'd have furniture in just a few days. Only one problem, this was a new town and new school, this would be my kids' first day at school. Call me sentimental, I don't care but I wanted to be the one to walk them through those doors on the first day. But due to only having one fucking car because some idiot couldn't see he had a red light, I couldn't. Hubby worked in the city and needed it more than I did.
I wanted to still walk them, but I couldn't do that either as the furniture people never told us a time, just Monday. What if they came and I was at the school, would I miss getting our beds? I was not missing this. But I was pissed at missing the kids first day. I waited, and waited and waited. Hubby came home, principal came by for some paperwork, kids came home. Still no furniture. I called the number, it wasn't suppose to be here until the 21st. So, I screwed up, I'd just have to wait until the following Monday...a whole other week.
We some how got through the week and the day before I get a phone call, "We can't bring your couch, it isn't here." Umm, what the fuck? How is it not there? Just give me the damn couch that was on the floor, we are sitting on the floor as it is. I have lived in hotels for two months I don't want this, I want a real house.
"Ma'am there is nothing we can do, we have no clue why it isn't here." But it should be here by the end of the week. Umm, yeah right, whatever. Okay so end of the week, no big deal. I'd have beds and a living room. Beds came, no couch. Finally I called again, where is it? I want it. Ya'll said by this date, it's past that date. I paid for delivery, what's up?
"Ma'am sometimes things happen. I feel for you I do." No she doesn't, she doesn't care as long as she finishes this call she gets paid. I want my damn couch! Hey if you spent the money I did you'd want your stuff too. I purchased 5 beds from them, a sectional couch with something called a chaise and a dining room table with 6 very nice chairs withe the damn hutch. You'd think they'd want to deliver EVERYTHING on time. Wouldn't you? Well, I just got a call, it'll be here this Thursday....I'm not sure if I want to hold my breathe. How would you feel?
