I am really not sure what is worse, a power outage during winter or a power outage during summer. For my wife and kid's sake, I would say that a winter power outage is worse for the fact that it can get pretty damn cold in the house. However, for me, I don't mind it too bad. Personally, I feel that a power outage during summer is much worse for the fact that the house gets extremely hot.

What brought this post on? Good question! Tonight we had a power outage for about 8 hours and the house got around 43 degrees and my wife and kids were freezing their ass off and I was running around the house trying to figure out how the hell to get on the Internet.
